Ron Bonanno Ron Bonanno, or R.B. as he’s referred to at the office, got his start in the jewelry business in 1984 while living in Arizona. A native of Des Moines, Ron moved back in 1989 and began working for the Josephs Merle Hay Mall location that same year. “I’ll never forget the feeling of awe I had on the first day I walked through the doors of Josephs for my interview with Bill Baum. I had the realization come over me of what a fine establishment this was and how privileged I would be to work here.” In 1991, Ron become assistant manager of the Merle Hay store, and in May 2005, was made manager of the Valley West location. He has been married to his wife Annie for 25 years, and has three sons, Ben 22, Brian 20 and Corey 18. “It feels fantastic to be working not only for the best jeweler in the state of Iowa, but one of the top stores in the country.
